Properties: This product is a white powder with a specific gravity of 1.32. It has a bitter taste, is flammable, and toxic. It is soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, cyclohexanone, tetrahydrofuran, etc., slightly soluble in various plasticizers used for PVC, and insoluble in water and carbon disulfide. It dissolves in alkaline solutions and precipitates in acidic solutions.

Applications: This product is used as a fast vulcanization accelerator, with a critical vulcanization temperature of 80°C. Care must be taken during mixing to avoid premature vulcanization. It exhibits high activity at temperatures above 100°C. The resulting products are tough with excellent tensile strength and flexibility, but they may discolor under light. It is mainly used in natural latex and neoprene latex products. It is also used as a heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride produced by emulsion polymerization, particularly suitable for soft products. It should not be used together with stabilizers such as lead or cadmium, as this may cause discoloration of the products. Additionally, it serves as an intermediate in pharmaceuticals and dyes, and as a reagent for testing osmium and rhodium products.

Storage: Should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Packaged products should be protected from direct sunlight. The shelf life is 1 year.
